IT Portfolio Analyst (Budget/Financial)
As an IT Portfolio Analyst your role will be dedicated to standardizing and providing oversight for spend within the IT organization. This role would work collaboratively across IT teams and the larger Finance and Procurement teams to provide a comprehensive overview of current, pending, and forecasted spend. They would also be responsible for prioritizing the realization of savings benefits. Currently, these tasks are delegated to the functional or project managers, supported by individuals in Finance. This is a full-time, remote position which will require occasional travel. Contract is for one year with the possibility to extend.
Deliverable Role/Responsibilities
Implement standard methods for project performance monitoring, reporting, analysis, trend assessment, scheduling and estimating.
Drive conversations with functional and project managers for accurate estimation of team resource requirements on active and planned project work.
Independently evaluate project cost estimating, payment schedule, and spend reports to maintain an accurate overview of the financial standing of the IT Project Portfolio.
Collaborate on contract proposals, ensuring a thorough cost-benefits analysis is performed.
Analyze the financial impact to existing portfolio when new projects surface and work with functional and project managers to identify alternative strategies (resources, project sequencing, etc) to keep projects within the portfolio on track.
Proactively analyze, identify, and report on trends that could have a potentially negative impact to other projects functionally or financially, including review of project change requests.
Develop and maintain dashboard views of portfolio finances for senior management.
Collaborate with IT Procurement to establish processes and mechanisms that produce a holistic view of IT spend, including run the business/keep the light on initiatives.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Experience
Minimum 5 years of project management, accounting, financial analysis, and risk analysis.
Extensive experience in translating forecasts and analyses into recommendations and actions.
Demonstrated experience in project management, engineering, or business administration.
Experience with vendor contract management.
Comfort in a fast-moving environment with changing priorities and projects
Desire to improve and modify processes for product development.
